A 6x6 gift for my wife. As a wedding gift to me in 2017, she gave me a death’s-head moth in a shadow box as we are both “Silence of the Lambs” freaks. Recently, I created this piece for her as a companion. They hang together on our wall.

My 3x5 study of “Moonlight Over Pond”, by tonalist painter Lovell Birge Harrison
A slight 3x5 reimagining of Dennis Sheehan's "Simerenya". I love studying the subtle values and hues near and just after twilight.
Before I started my dark art sketchbook. This always reminds me of some sort of dark “river captain” who ferries the souls of the dead between realms.
My quick 3x5 preliminary study for larger piece titled “Eventide”.

My preliminary value study of a larger pastel piece titled “Renewal”. This was based off of a quick scene while driving along I-40.
