“Cityshapes”
I have truly missed working in pastels and it is good to get my hand dirty again. I love love love the the looseness of urban street scenes and I knew that as soon as I was able to get back to pastel, I was going to do a piece like this. I wanted to explore the colors of twilight just as the sun has dropped below the horizon and last vestiges of light are fading. Throw in wet streets after a rain shower has concluded, and it is way too enticing and fun to pass up. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it.
