Coming from a background of hyper-realism, it is fun, yet extremely challenging to reimagine a scene from a photo. I keep wanting to paint what I see. But if art is anything, it is the artist’s unique interpretation of the world around them. Even hyper-realists have a style that is their own. The challenge that I have put upon myself to be more creative and explore new mediums and different styles, I feel, has its rewards. I hope you think so also.
